Munich Underground, Georg-Brauchle-Ring

Back to childhood - the television test pattern in extra large!

The artist Franz Ackermann thought up something special for this underground station. Hanging on the walls of the station there are 400 huge metal plates, some of which are painted in bright colours and some are covered with a variety of paintings, postcards and maps.

The platform has been kept extremely minimalistic, which works as a fantastic contrast to the walls.

These photos were possible through the friendly support of the MVG Münchner Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH.
